Barber AppPrivacy policy
Barber App is an agenda for a barber shop's team. This page says, in plain words, what data the app keeps, where, who sees it, for how long and how to delete it. The same notice is in the app under Settings → Privacy.
Who is responsible
The shop using the app is the data controller: it decides what to record about its clients and answers their requests. The app's developer (El-Nakhal, elnakhal.dev@gmail.com) is the data processor: they run the service on the shop's behalf and have technical access to the data only to keep it working, to help, or to delete data on request.
What the app stores
What the shop needs to manage its appointments:
- Clients: name, phone number, notes, appointments (date, barber, service, what was paid and how), no-shows and, if the team takes them, photos of haircuts.
- Team: each barber's name, email address and settings (language, theme, reminder preferences), and their role (owner or barber).
- Phone: a notification identifier (Firebase token) to deliver reminders, and a copy of the last data seen so the app works with no signal.
The app collects no location data, no address-book contacts, no advertising or usage analytics, and does not track you across other apps or websites.
Where
On Supabase servers in the European Union (Frankfurt, Germany), behind the team's login. Photos live in a private bucket of the same project and are only fetched to display them. Reminders (a client's name and number) reach the barber's phone through Firebase Cloud Messaging (Google); the sign-in code arrives by email through the mail service the developer uses (currently Google Gmail). Each phone keeps a copy of the last data it saw, which is wiped on sign-out.
Who sees it
Only the shop's team. Barbers see the client list and their own appointments; the owner sees everything, takings included. The rules are enforced by the database, not just by the app. No data is sold, passed on or used for advertising.
For how long
- Client data stays as long as the shop keeps it: it is the visit history and the takings.
- A barber removed from the team loses access at once; their name stays on past appointments.
- The copy on the phone is wiped on sign-out or when the app is uninstalled.
- If the shop stops using the app, the owner can delete it on their own from Settings → Delete shop and account: its whole space is erased.
How to delete data
- A client who asks for deletion: the owner opens their card and chooses Delete client. The client, all their appointments (past ones too), their waiting-list entries and photos are erased from the server. It cannot be undone.
- A barber: the owner removes them in Settings → Team, or the barber chooses Settings → Delete my account: the sign-in account is erased and their name stays only on the shop's past appointments.
- The whole shop: the owner chooses Settings → Delete shop and account. Team, clients, appointments and photos are permanently deleted together with the owner's account.
- Your own phone: Settings → Sign out wipes the local copy.
Rights and contact
Anyone with data in the app (clients and barbers) can ask to see, correct or delete it by contacting the shop. For questions about how the service works or about data security: elnakhal.dev@gmail.com.
